well, the slider will show if you enable comctl32 as native, the problem with native comctl32 is it will crash when showing folder to save something, so this is dilemma.
But this proves it's a comctl32 issue. For reproducing the issue, make sure to click "View->Strategy Tester" - this is the window you need. Please note that the slider *is visible*, it's just that it's 2x2 pixels or so.
