http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35732 --- Comment #6 from Giorgos Kostopoulos <giorgosk67(a)gmail.com> --- I tried msxml but it didn't helped. I don't know if it's a regression, because I didn't tried here earlier. I can do of course the regression tests. I tried it at a fresh formatted system with a new Wine installation. Yes, WINEARCH was set to 32. I'm attaching the backtrace (with WINEARCH was set to 32). After trying three times in a row (just to be sure, the last one, CC formatted and started to download Photoshop. Photoshop couldn't be installed, but since this report is for CC, I suppose this bug can be marked as solved. PS. I've tried Photoshop under Win7 and is very problematic and unstable. It is not a surprise for me that it has so many problems under Wine. Oh well! :-) -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. I tried msxml but it didn't helped.
I don't know if it's a regression, because I didn't tried here earlier. I can do of course the regression tests.
Just try the last couple of versions of Wine as this is a new product.
I'm attaching the backtrace (with WINEARCH was set to 32).
Unhandled exception: unimplemented function KERNEL32.dll.UnregisterApplicationRestart called in 32-bit code (0x7bc54fc0). That's Bug 34215.
After trying three times in a row (just to be sure, the last one, CC formatted and started to download Photoshop.
Photoshop couldn't be installed, but since this report is for CC, I suppose this bug can be marked as solved.
Nothing has been fixed.
PS. I've tried Photoshop under Win7 and is very problematic and unstable. It is not a surprise for me that it has so many problems under Wine.

OK! I'll do it. :-)
I'm attaching the backtrace (with WINEARCH was set to 32).
. . .
Does the installer randomly fail in Windows too?
No. The products themselves (I tried Photoshop and InDesign) are buggy, but CC is installing flawlessly and working as expected. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

from what i can tell from winedebug logs and the installer's logs the 2024 creative cloud installer uses html, css, javascript and it still fails at executing some javascript so the installer will grey out the install button since it doesn't extract an install database, i looked at logs run using this command
WINEDEBUG=+relay WEBVIEW2_ADDITIONAL_BROWSER_ARGUMENTS="--no-sandbox" wine "installer_location" &> aeMSI.txt
where i get errors such as
0264:Call ucrtbase.wcscmp(0ef0d170 L"InitErrorAnotherInstallerRunningUpdate",0ea39dc8 L"constructor") ret=701c4192 and other errors related to constructors
the installer log is located at /home/USERNAME/.wine/drive_c/users/USERNAME/AppData/Local/Temp/CreativeCloud/ ACC/AdobeDownload/
i tried it with msedgewebview2 installed -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

so i am not sure i can share a log. if i set winedebug=+msxml i get a lot of unimplemented errors -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
