I have corefonts installed on both, is some other font needed? As wine's RemoveFontResourceEx function is a stub, the font, @WineTestVertical, which used in test_vertical_font() remains in the font list. Although it is enumerated in has_vertical_font_proc(), it isn't used for default font selection.
