I've tested this game on some previous versions (1.0.1 I think) a long time ago, and the game runs very well. I've thought that the problem is a damaged CD, but I've also tested with another CD and the problem persists. My distro is Linux Mint 7, but I've also tested in ubuntu 9.04 and the problem persists. No such problem in wine 1.1.23.
