http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16371 Summary: Evernote treeview icons black Product: Wine Version: 1.1.10 Platform: Other URL: http://www.evernote.com OS/Version: other Status: NEW Keywords: download Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com Evernote installs and starts fine. However, the treeview on the left of the main screen has black icons instead of the expected + and - signs. Tried a few native DLLs (cc580, gdiplus) but that didn't change anything. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16371 --- Comment #1 from Dan Arnzen <darnzen(a)gmail.com> 2009-03-28 00:22:08 --- Created an attachment (id=20153) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=20153) Screenshot of Evernote showing problem Problem is both on the icons in the left panel as well as the icons along the top. It appears to be a problem with transparancy as mouse-over on the top icons shows buttons correctly as they are highlighted. Reverts to black when mouse leaves button. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

This issue with the display seems to affect other aspects of Evernote (e.g., the pop-out notes; see attached). For example, the display of the buttons has a similar black appearance. Moreover, the boldface font simply does not work. I just tried installing version 4.5.10.7472 and didn't notice this problem, though it looks like the GUI has been reworked since the original bug report. Could it be that the cause of this issue is the same as bug 29829, which was fixed as of Wine-1.4rc3? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16371 --- Comment #11 from Mark K <markk(a)clara.co.uk> 2012-11-25 09:44:03 CST --- I downloaded Evernote 3.0.0.981, installed and tested with Wine 1.5.5 (the last version available in the Wine PPA for Ubuntu 11.10). The overall GUI looks the same as the screenshots above. I thought this bug might be a duplicate of bug 29829. But while that bug is definitely fixed, this one doesn't seem to be. There are no graphical problems with built-in comctl32. However after doing "winetricks comctl32", running Evernote shows the same problems as the screenshots above. That is, some buttons have black backgrounds. I also tried compiling Wine 1.5.18 myself, same result as with 1.5.5. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16371 --- Comment #12 from Dan Kegel <dank(a)kegel.com> 2012-11-25 09:53:17 CST --- If the problem only happens now with native comctl32, then it's fixed from the app's point of view.
