[Bug 43543] New: Wrong sounds in Within a Deep Forest
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43543 Bug ID: 43543 Summary: Wrong sounds in Within a Deep Forest Product: Wine-staging Version: 2.14 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: wine(a)thecybershadow.net CC: erich.e.hoover(a)wine-staging.com, michael(a)fds-team.de, sebastian(a)fds-team.de Distribution: --- The sound effects in Within a Deep Forest seem to be broken. Specifically, the wrong samples seem to be used. For example, selecting a ball material produces a metallic sound (instead of the loud "twirp"), and bouncing around with the initial ball material plays various hums and occasionally splashing noises. Reproducible with WaDF version 1.1.4 and wine-staging 2.14 on a clean WINEPREFIX. Not reproducible with wine 2.14. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43543 --- Comment #1 from Vincent Povirk <madewokherd(a)gmail.com> --- Works for me in wine-staging 2.16. The sounds are the same as in wine-devel and make sense to me. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43543 --- Comment #2 from Vincent Povirk <madewokherd(a)gmail.com> --- If you download the wine-staging source (https://github.com/wine-compholio/wine-staging/releases/tag/v2.16), you can have it apply patches to a Wine git tree using git-am, and use git bisect to find the patch that breaks this. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Thanks Vincent. I suppose I could do a regression test to find what fixed this, but I'm not sure if that's worthwhile. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Forgot to close the bug as fixed. PS: Applying the patches using the following command makes bisecting much easier, since the auto generated configure / wine server changes are automatically added to each commit.
