https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51236 Michael Stefaniuc <mstefani(a)winehq.org> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Target Milestone|--- |6.0.x Distribution|--- |Fedora --- Comment #2 from Michael Stefaniuc <mstefani(a)winehq.org> --- Many thanks Rosanne, this makes my life easier. I waited with upgrading to F34 until after the release of 6.0.1. Just to not run into surprises due to the distro upgrade... Now this is not a regression as 6.0 suffers from the same issue. But binaries for 6.0 were never released for Fedora 34 as that didn't exist at that time. 4f04994ef47b5077e13c1b770ed0f818f59adcd5 is the first patch I have picked for 6.0.2 else I cannot build myself. As Fedora tracks Staging or Devel and doesn't uses Stable nothing is broken for them. So there is no rush in releasing 6.0.2. For the WineHQ F34 binaries we have two options: 1.) Do nothing and wait for 6.0.2 2.) Add the patch to the srpm for Fedora. I can help with that if needed. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. That makes my life easier; rushing out 6.0.2 now would create AppDB issues down the line due to the way it handles which versions are accepted.
2.) Add the patch to the srpm for Fedora. I can help with that if needed.
I've built a patched version for Fedora 34. Fedora may not provide stable, but we've already had two Fedora 34 users asking why there are no winehq-stable packages yet. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
