I see the same, I strongly suspect it's a regression, but I don't have very old wine compiled (even 5.0 fails to build for me). -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

FWIW, with the fix from bug 52488 (and ignoring the render issue bug 52713) there is no AUTOEXEC.NT warning.
Yes, I can confirm that with the fix from bug 52488, there is no autoexec.nt warning and no crash. I was curious, so I set up a ubuntu 16.04 vm for testing. With that, I was able to compile older wine (2.0), and can reproduce this issue. It was 'fixed' by: commit 6737ac70d6233f6b10f397ee8f94cb23c3ea04fb Author: Austin English <austinenglish(a)gmail.com> Date: Tue Jan 31 12:59:44 2017 -0600 wine.inf: Set default Windows version to win7. Setting the windows version to Windows XP shows that the bug still exists in wine-7.4 (same for bug 16222). -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
