Another alternative is to use <ulink url="http://www.reactos.com">ReactOS</ulink>, which is a fully open source alternative to Windows. ReactOS shares code heavily with the Wine project, but rather than running Windows applications on top of Linux they are instead run on top of the
Wine doesn't share code with ReactOS, it's ReactOS who uses Wine code, often simply by taking Wine code without any reference to original source or authors, and places it under GPL, giving nothing in return. Linking to ReactOS buys Wine nothing except bad publicity IMHO.
