This should actually be fixed now that Wine does not emulate reads from and
writes to parallel port I/O space. You can compile the ioperm program from
https://gitlab.com/alexhenrie/ioperm and use it to run the Willem software with
direct access to I/O space, and then it will be just as fast and reliable as it
is on Windows.
