Just for the info, as someone stated already in appdb,the menu's are usable using shortcut keys (like Alt-F to open a file). So the problem really is the menu's are invisible. So it is usable, but it's not much fun indeed. I just installed Paint.NET 3.36 without any problems on my Ubuntu 9.10 x64 running wine 1.1.35 after using the svn of version of winetricks's dotnet20 install. Then searched the bug database finding this exact same bug. Free download of 3.36: http://www.filehippo.com/download_paint.net/4572/ The window rendering is indeed borked. The tool windows are all crumpled together and hidden beneath the actual window, resulting in them all being hidden and fairly unusable and the toolbar is totally invisible. The bug is now blocked by bug 35023 With 'gdiplus' override the GUI looks pretty usable. Menu bars, toolbars, floating tool windows are located at right place, no visible distortion. If bug 35023 gets fixed this one might be solved as well.
