I have tried software rendering and other graphics modes, different resolutions, running in a wine window, etc. with no avail. Examine the core file with gdb (no need to attach core file here it won't be of any use). Of course make sure that you are using 32-bit Wine version. Can' confirm that. Unreal Tournament: Game of the Year works great here.
