Then I downloaded Voobly and the Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds game found on GOG: https://www.gog.com/game/star_wars_galactic_battlegrounds_saga I installed both using Wine. Voobly works perfectly, but SWGB runs with normal looking cutscenes but when it gets to the main menu the video flickers and glitches so that it is unusable. I did some research and tried to remedy this by opening up winecfg and setting it to emulate a virtual desktop, but it seemed to have no effect. If there is more information that will help troubleshoot this bug, let me know where I should go to pull it. You will need to access the registries by entering "wine regedit" in your wine-devel terminal. Open the Current User Settings node, navigate to /Software/Wine and then if you do not see Direct3D nested under Wine, right click Wine and add a new key. Name it Direct3D and hit Enter. Then right click the new key, add a new String value called DirectDrawRenderer, and hit Enter. Double click that value in the right pane of your registry GUI editor and when it asks for a value, enter "gdi". For what it's worth I tested the GOG version with wine-7.0rc5 in a clean prefix and there were no issues with the menu rendering.
