I test version 1.9.10 of wine. I suffer from very bad bug. When I try to register "Very PDF Password Remover version 4", & due to bug 40496 which still existing, I try to enter serial number menually. It contain CAPS characters. When I press on CAPS lock key (activating it) I noticed that character still entered as small not as capital. For ex: D it entered as d inspite of activation CAPS lock key ! As a result, now, I'm unable to register PDF Password Remover that previously was possible! It say "Invaled serial number" This bug is very bad. Please fix it. I downloaded the trial version, which pops up a registration window when you start it. While I don't have a valid registration code to test, I was able to type capital letters into the field using the CAPS LOCK key (SHIFT also works), as well as paste characters from the clipboard. Just help me to resolve this issue: I'm tired from formating USB & reinstalling Linux then re-installing Wine. Previously I follow this method (complete formating from zero). So, can I use the following: 1) sudo apt-get autoremove --purge winehq-devel then re-installing wine by: 2) sudo apt-get install --install-recommends winehq-devel Are these 2 steps enough? Deleting Wine doesn't delete any wineprefixes. I did not try with wineprefixes. But I test issue on Wine 1.9.11 It disappear without any try on modify wineprefixes. So, I think that issue not due to wineprefixes.
