The workaround _does_ work...sort of. There's two other problems: A) Winetricks wasn't setting msvcrt to native. I'll add a fix shortly. For now, set it to native in winecfg. B) The program also needs msvcr71.dll, which vcrun6 doesn't install. Use 'winetricks vcrun2003' to install that. With those two fixes, it starts up for me.
