Here you can get vbalink http://www.vbalink.info/download/vbalink180b0.zip On my other system wine doesn't have problem with running it however its the same version. Works fine here with wine-1.7.20-158-g8762842 (needs winetricks mfc42). Looking at your original log, Module Address Debug info Name (97 modules) PE 400000- 74a000 Deferred visualboyadvance PE 6bc40000-6bd32000 Deferred mfc42 ELF 7a65f000-7b800000 Deferred swrast_dri.so looks like this was likely a bug in mesa's drivers (not in wine, as you originally noted.
