wine cannot launch "portable thunderbird" residing in a USB external drive in
xubuntu.

portable thunderbird runs fine from same drive under windows XP...

launch= right click on "portable thunderbird" icon; choose "open with" ; "wine
windows program loader" ;

error message:  "NISI Error" ; "Error launching installer"

There's no need for a debug log, just whatever wine prints without setting
WINEDEBUG.

Do you not have the Z:\ drive symlink?
