According to: http://steamdb.info/app/32430/#section_install The game requires MSVC++ runtime, DirectX runtime and .NET Framework 3.5 Since the game complains about missing XAudio2 dlls (X3DAudio1_6.dll) your DirectX runtime install did not execute properly. Please attach: 'DirectX.log' and 'DXError.log' from your Steam prefix 'c:\\windows' folder. If you start the game multiple times does the prerequisite installer still try to install runtimes? I'd say dupe of bug 36059 anyway. Regards -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36252 --- Comment #2 from legluondunet(a)free.fr <legluondunet(a)free.fr> --- I thought last versions of wine replace totally directx ( version <=9) so we don't need to install it? -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36252 --- Comment #3 from Anastasius Focht <focht(a)gmx.net> --- Hello legluondunet, --- quote --- I thought last versions of wine replace totally directx ( version <=9) so we don't need to install it? --- quote --- you're mistaken then. There are still various DirectX components/API that Wine lacks implementation. XAudio2 for example: bug 26808 , bug 26833 , bug 26808 (unfortunately people reported them in a way they're dupes of each other) Again: please attach the requested logs or to avoid wasting time (because I know the problem) start Steam client and game with 'SDL_XINPUT_ENABLED=0' one time to have DirectX runtime installer succeed for the game (files and registry entries). Also avoid having too many games (with too many different prerequisites/runtimes) installed in the same Steam WINEPREFIX. This messes up the prefix at some point and makes bug reports invalid. http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36252 --- Comment #4 from legluondunet(a)free.fr <legluondunet(a)free.fr> --- Sorry Anastasius, I can not do what you ask me because I already installed a direct X version (9.0c) and now the game launches normally. This bug is resolved for me. You said "Also avoid having too many games (with too many different prerequisites/runtimes) installed in the same Steam WINEPREFIX. This messes up the prefix at some point and makes bug reports invalid." Thank you for the advice Anastasius, I heard you a moment ago about that and now I always make a new prefix before to report bug. Regards.
