Another app that complains about this during install is Zuma Deluxe,
http://www.popcap.com/launchpage.php?theGame=zuma
It pops up a "fatal error" dialog with text
"Failed to Create Link to 'http://www.popcap.com'"
which is pretty annoying, though not actually fatal.
