That function doesn't appear to be documented, howver, so I didn't try to do anything with it. (that's for ie7) xmllite installs with no issues with native setupapi after SdbInitDatabase was stubbed. From my knowledge there is no ANSI version at all, those API are always unicode.

I'm curious ... did you really see an ANSI path in the FIXME or just NULL? From my knowledge there is no ANSI version at all, those API are always unicode.
It was NULL.
In the .spec file: string parameters are either 'str' or 'wstr' (in this case -> wstr).
