Upon clicking open / Microsoft Word Document Objcet, I get an error pop-up: "The server application, source file or item cannot be found. Make sure the application is properly installed, and that it has not been deleted, moved, or renamed". By "re-install," do you mean this worked in an older version of Wine? On the other computer, this feature worked fine with an older Ubuntu version and wine-1.1.33. I suspect the installer did something different this time as my previous installation (on a wine-0.9 version). As 1.1.33 is the only version I can use for excel anyway, I'll stick with that for the time being. And indeed, after upgrading wine to 1.3.9 with the version installed with 1.1.33, I can edit the picture again.
