I uploaded you the actual setup here: http://www.file-upload.net/download-12203037/Solidworks2017.zip.html As far I know, every old and even inactive Serial number allow you to Install Solidworks. But this bug is about version 2014. unless it's exactly the same issue with newer installer it shouldnt be used. Unless you want to change this bug to be about version 2017...Then the title should be changed too.
Thanks for the hint about the Title. I changed it. As far I know, the Installer is the same technology as 2014. You need also higher win version than xp. I set it 7. This error is still actual in SolidWorks 2014 x32, 2020 x64, 2022 x64 on Wine x64 (tested on 6.0, 6.23, 7.0, 7.4, 7.5, 7.6, 7.9, 7.10, 7.11, 7.12). Registering vaiec.dll not helps. In Windows 10 installation there's no vaiec.dll on C:\ drive even, but SolidWorks run nice, no such errors in windows debug log. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
