Any attempt to use winecfg, wine, or wineprefixcreate results in a segmentation fault and crash.
It's Ubuntu 7.10 x86_64. In Pyrrhic victory of a sort, I got it to work now by completely reinstalling Ubuntu. I configured Wine first before installing my propriety nvidia video card drivers, and everything now works fine!
