Also my wine version is 1.2 should I upgrade and see if it fixes

You should be more specific about what did not work. A full transcript of the terminal session would be helpful. I'm afraid bugzilla isn't the right place to help you figure out how to correctly use Wine, and you should use end-user support resources like the Wine forum to obtain help. I am sorry but this is the first time I have done this and I am not 100% sure how to give you what you need. This seems like a very complicated process and I think Im out of my depth, so I'll have to try another method other than wine to help me solve my problem.
