The settings in "winecfg" to show dotted files aren't selected. But for example, the open dialog of notepad shows them. This behaviour changed from wine version 8.7 to 8.8. So I assume that this is a regression. I did a regression test and it showed me the relevant commit: a8b6966a91453f5c6147dc2c74a337d016bbd53a.
