Wine does not and won't play wma files itself. If not, then this bug is invalid. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

I suspect this is a problem with its installer, so changing this bug to depend on that. But the thing is that newer Windows versions are able to play WMA files out of the box, because they ship with Windows Media Player. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Umm, I don't think so. Where did you get that idea? People just started talking about working on it: http://www.winehq.org/?issue=340#Stubbing%20wmvcore.dll -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10303 --- Comment #7 from Timo-Heikki Mäkelä <imaxfun(a)gmail.com> 2008-01-25 02:06:17 --- Well, I misunderstood what Alexander Nicolaysen Sørnes said in the comments for the bug 10303, http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1886#c29. In any case that comment of his means WMA and WMV should be playable in WMP 9 now. The installer for WMP 9 still has minor bugs, but can be installed and used already, as he says. So also this bug gets fixed for that part once the installer gets fixed, and will only concern plain Wine cases when those codecs are not available. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
