[Bug 16394] New: Trial version of the game.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16394 Summary: Trial version of the game. Product: Wine Version: 1.1.10 Platform: PC URL: http://www.download.com/Ever17-Out-of-Infinity/3000- 7494_4-10573528.html OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: msacm32 AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: tyle7(a)hotmail.com Created an attachment (id=17723) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=17723) msacm trace of running the game, hearing a few stutters, and exiting No sound in ever17. After applying the patch http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=17707 , it is possible to start the game Ever17 without it crashing. However, there is still no working sound, all that occurs is a scratchy sound from the speakers now and then when the game tries to produce a sound effect. When this happens, the message: fixme:msacm:acmFormatEnumW Unsupported fdwEnum values 00200000 appears in the terminal window. This is with latest wine from git, with the patch mentioned above applied. Switching between Alsa and OSS makes no difference. Distribution is Ubuntu 8.10. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16394 --- Comment #1 from tyle7(a)hotmail.com 2008-12-07 13:40:55 --- Using a native msacm32.dll from a windows install seems to work around the issue. With the native file music and voices work fine. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16394 --- Comment #2 from tyle7(a)hotmail.com 2009-02-17 11:41:05 --- Tested with todays git after having applied a patch by Stefano Guidoni http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-patches/2009-February/069472.html The music now works flawlessly without a native msacm32.dll in both the demo and full version of Ever17. Good job =) Will close the bug when the patch makes it to git. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
