Such messages from gstreamer and ole do not appear with clean wineprefix. I've tested 4.0, 5.6, 5.6-staging, 5.8, 5.8-staging. They've appeared with my default wineprefix, after changing a lot of wine versions, installing various software, etc. Unfortunately, i have installed MF in default wineprefix, so I can't determine what was going on. Anyway, i think such debug output about unsupported formats is very convenient and must be enabled by default. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45988 --- Comment #15 from Julian Rüger <jr98(a)gmx.net> --- What he linked in comment #10 is not a gstreamer plugin. Far from it. The github repo does not exist any longer but there are forks of it. It ships a bunch of native dlls and sets overrides for them via .reg files. So technically it is a valid Wine bug, since that should definitely be supported by Wine's builtin media foundation instead of relying on native dlls. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45988 --- Comment #16 from Olivier F. R. Dierick <o.dierick(a)piezo-forte.be> --- Hello, While it is technically true that native MF is only a work around, it has been 3 years since the last feedback and things may have evolved. So, to reopen this bug I need someone to answer this question: Is the issue still present with a current, up-to-date & complete set of gstreamer plugins?
