[Bug 9654] New: Links from http://appdb.winehq.org/ always open in the same window
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9654 Summary: Links from http://appdb.winehq.org/ always open in the same window Product: WineHQ Bugzilla Version: unspecified Platform: Other URL: http://appdb.winehq.org/ OS/Version: other Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: P2 Component: misc-bugs AssignedTo: jnewman(a)codeweavers.com ReportedBy: acheron(a)front.ru Shift-clicking (or Control-clicking) on some links in Firefox with JavaScrippt on results in the link opening both in the new window (or tab) and in the old window. Observed on e.g. "Top-10" lists. This is inconvenient. I may be wrong (I'm not good at HTML and Javascript) but I think the reason is having both onclick="DoNav('...') and href="..." pointing to the same page. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

So if you right-click on the link and select 'open in new tab' it will work. But having to do that is annoying. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

When I do Shift+Click or Ctrl+Shift+Click (to open a link in a new window, or in new background window), it instead opens in both windows. E.g. in tables. Very annoying. This bug surely should have more importance than "enhancement". Especially, this bug is easy to fix. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9654 --- Comment #9 from Rosanne DiMesio <dimesio(a)earthlink.net> --- This bug is almost a decade old and no one's complained about this problem in the past 8 years. Does anyone really care? It's an easy fix if we remove making the whole row clickable. Clicking the link in the first column will still work, but the descriptions in the second column will no longer be clickable. Is it really worth giving up the convenience of being able to click anywhere in the row in order to avoid having to right-click and select "open in a new tab"? (My vote is no.) -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
