After updating to 1.7 last night, XCom EU now crashes for me, too, on every launch. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34346 --- Comment #2 from Matt M. <matt(a)moldvan.com> 2013-08-30 11:28:18 CDT --- How does one mark this bug as a regression? Or is it actually a regression? Seems regressive to work one day then crash the next... :P -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

So let me get this straight; we know it's a regression, but you don't mark it as such, because you have decided that we need to do "regression testing", which is not really regression testing, which we have already done, but it's actually a bisection. Sure, you let less bugs marked as regressions this way, but they are still regressions, even if not marked as such. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34346 --- Comment #5 from Felipe Contreras <felipe.contreras(a)gmail.com> 2013-08-30 16:28:35 CDT --- Maybe I spoke too soon. I was indeed getting always a crash, so then I tried to find the point at which the regression happened, but now I'm not getting the crash any more. I've tried to downgrade some packages that I thought might affect, and tried the uxa method of the Intel driver, but the game still works. It's not the wine prefix because I tried a pristine one, and my old one, and it works in both. The sound still doesn't work, and there are a couple of issues, but the game runs. I'm going to try to install the game again from a pristine wineprefix with different instructions and see if the issue is really gone. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34346 --- Comment #6 from Felipe Contreras <felipe.contreras(a)gmail.com> 2013-09-01 08:40:44 CDT --- All right, if I install msxml3 and vcrun2010 with winetricks, I don't get any crash while installing. I could swear I did that and it was still crashing after it was installed, but I can't seem to reproduce that any more. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34346 --- Comment #7 from Matt M. <matt(a)moldvan.com> 2013-09-01 10:02:04 CDT --- I realized I did something dumb... I was trying to install the Long War mod, and forgot that I had left it there until I started messing with moving the directory to an SSD. I reinstalled the game and it launches okay now... my fault. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
