What is interesting, however, is that Adobe Distiller 6.0 (the ps2pdf lookalike that gets bundled with Acrobat Pro) defaults to the "My Documents" folder. File --> Open should default to a more logical location. Opening a file in Acrobat Pro 6 in Windows defaults to Desktop/My Documents.

Think late 70s batch processing in COBOL. Think the speed of light in a black hole. Think snails on a treadmill. Think... ok, well, anyway you get the idea. This bug is identical in Acrobat Reader 6.01.
File->Open in Adobe Reader 6.0.1 points to the "My Documents" Directory (redirected to $HOME) Removing the Reader from the Subject. -- By by ...
