Does it help if you change dlls/winex11.drv/keyboard.c,X11DRV_LoadKeyboardLayout and X11DRV_ActivateKeyboardLayout to return not 0 and don't set last error?
Thanks for your quick answer! Yes, I compiled your fix with 1.0-rc1 (can this fix be integrated in 1.0 or is it an ugly hack?) and now the game starts and everything seems to work really good except for two important things: Massive graphics corruption in the sky which creates "walls" on the ground (makes it unplayable because you can't see where you are all the time). This game has pretty advanced graphics as far as I know. OffscreenRenderingMode=backbuffer doesn't allow the game to start while pbuffer and fbo seems to give the exact same artifacts. Mouse input seems a bit strange when trying to rotate the cannon 360 degrees (it's needed to survive in the game). It seems to get stuck when I try to rotate more than 120 degrees or something (I've seen the same or a similar problem in Pariah too). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Yes, but it can be worked around by patching the source as suggested above and recompiling. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

Yepp, still there in 1.1.27 and git 2009-08-10. On a side note: Identical problem in the sequel (HTA: RoC) to the game too. Both of these games will get platinum rating once this bug is fixed and Xi2 solves the mouse problems. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

I have this bug with Hard truck: Apocalypse. When I tried to change the returncodes and setting of errors, how it described by Dmirty Timoshkov, with the same result What I do: $ git clone git://source.winehq.org/git/wine.git ~/wine-git $ emacs wine-git/dlls/winex11.drv/keyboard.c in the emacs i did following: "search -> string forward", enter "X11DRV_LoadKeyboardLayout", erased "SetLastError(ERROR_CALL_NOT_IMPLEMENTED)" and "0" from behind of "return". Then repeated it after searching "X11DRV_ActivateKeyboardLayout" several times. then, $ ./configure && make depend && make creating new wine prefix and ~/.wine/drive_c/hta/hta.exe I created wieprefix with 32 bits, using "WINEARCH=win32 winecfg", with the same result. I removed package and all preferences of package wine and install it with making. With the same result. Tried 32- and 64-bit versions of wineprfix, each time created a new one. I did it about one year ago using wine 1.4.1 ... with the same result. What i did wrong? -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
