Try editing x11drv_main.c (in :~/wine/dlls/winex11.drv).

After the line (line 300 in current GIT version) 

case 24:

insert either a line

return 24;

or a line

return depth;


run make again and see if this fixes it.  If it does it looks like a duplicate
of 11203
