It looks like this bug with the invisible mouse pointer has been fixed for me
somewhere between 1.5.17 and .19.
Tested with Astral Masters v1.4 on Fedora 18, X.Org X Server 1.13.2, XFCE 4.10

Marking fixed (reopen if not).
