[Bug 50627] New: MS Word 2013 bug in Arabic ligature of "lam" with "alef" text shaping
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50627 Bug ID: 50627 Summary: MS Word 2013 bug in Arabic ligature of "lam" with "alef" text shaping Product: Wine Version: 6.1 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: dwrite Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: i.bilux(a)gmail.com Distribution: --- Created attachment 69324 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=69324 MS Office 2013 جلال The word "جلال" is written using four characters "ج" "ل" "ا" "ل" like in the first word in attachment (Upper word), but its not showing correctly as the the third character "ا" should be italic (diagonal). I added the second word in the same attachment (Lower word) as show case of how the correct ligature supposed to be showing. In Arabic, the actual shape of the character depends on the context of the character in the word. PS: I'm using "Times New Roman" font. When using "Noto Sans Arabic" this bug does not occur. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50627 --- Comment #1 from Nikolay Sivov <bunglehead(a)gmail.com> --- So far I can't reproduce with Times New Roman from Windows 10. Could you attach +dwrite log? Doesn't matter if you type it in or open a file, I just need to see which exact font it's using, and how shaping is called. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. I just run this command and capture the logs to a file : env LANG=ar_DZ.UTF-8 WINEPREFIX="/home/hq/.wine" wine /run/media/hq/d/Program\ Files/Microsoft\ Office/Office15/WINWORD.EXE Or there is a different way to do it ? -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50627 --- Comment #4 from Nikolay Sivov <bunglehead(a)gmail.com> --- You'll have to variable WINEDEBUG=+dwrite before running wine, without it logging is disabled by default. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Log file is over 100MB when start logging After running WINWORD. And even when I start logging from when opening a DOC file, the log size is over 28MB. Is there is a way to grep only certain lines ? -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50627 --- Comment #6 from Nikolay Sivov <bunglehead(a)gmail.com> --- Don't worry about the size, just start Word, then paste you 3-4 character sequence in document area, and then close it. Or open a document that contains nothing but this one word (to make it easier to find in the logs). After that compress with gzip/xz and attach it here. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
