[Bug 17121] New: MS-FS9: Does not start/render more than once
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17121 Summary: MS-FS9: Does not start/render more than once Product: Wine Version: 1.1.13 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: normandy(a)web.de Created an attachment (id=18966) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=18966) Crashlog (starting "fs9.exe") Microsoft's flight simulator version 9 does not start. Using the "kiosk"-mode, I can start the game, and 1 or 2 frames are rendered, then game crashes. I attached log of normal startup ("wine fs9.exe") and I will attach kiosk-start-log soon. I don't have any idea what's causing this crash, the only way to change some game-options is the control file "fs9.cfg", which can be found in "drive_c/windows/profiles/$USER/Application Data/Microsoft/FS9", I disabled the startup_screen and fullscreen mode to see what happens, but it does not change anything. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17121 --- Comment #2 from John Haywards <normandy(a)web.de> 2009-01-24 17:21:54 --- Created an attachment (id=18968) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=18968) Screenshot took just before the crash I use the german OEM version, which has 2 big advantages: 1. you won't need dvd in drive to play (copy protection) 2. it's not 4CD's but one single dvd ;) I notice the rain and engine sound continue until I kill the process, but they do not react to throttle or atc (air traffic control)... -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17121 --- Comment #3 from John Haywards <normandy(a)web.de> 2009-01-24 17:33:13 --- Created an attachment (id=18969) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=18969) Logfile using +seh,+relay I don't think this will help, imho it's only cleanup, but the whole logfile is 3.3GB... IF you need it, I will compress it and upload it, or give you another part of it. It shows the output of fs9.exe... -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17121 --- Comment #10 from John Haywards <normandy(a)web.de> 2009-01-25 11:52:32 --- Imho that's another bug. Game number 9 (2004) does not even run (quits before rendering complete), 95 (1995) starts and runs (when starting some builtin flight-scenarios). 2004's sound continues, whereas FS95 quits complete (segfault) after some time. What makes you think these are the same? Did you notice something in the logfiles? As far as I know, this series has been "rewritten" in version 2000, FS95 (like 98) was only a DOS-port for windows. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
