Also attached is my dmesg. Note that WoW installed and updated perfectly with no crashes at all. Looks like a heap corruption. What video card, drivers? Did you consult appdb?
I'm using version 180.44 of the nvidia drivers. I'm using version 180.44 of the nvidia drivers. I searched and, from what I could tell, all of the bug reports similar to this were closed and reported fixed.
I'm also having this bug, on two different systems. The first is gentoo 64 bit with 4g of ram and nvidia driver 185.18.10 on an 8400 GS wine version wine-1.1.22. System is Ubuntu Jaunty x64 and Wine 1.1.22 with an nVidia GTX260 gpu; I have three gigs of ram. The console message is attached. It often crashes when I enter a large city, but not always - and sometimes it crashes in the wilderness. You must clean the folder after updating)" Deleting the cache folder has made the game run for a very long time so far, way past any previous attempts. So far it seems like it is restricted to Dalaran right now, but more testing is needed. That's an invalid and unsupported setup.
