Test showing the problem.

It has something to do with:
0016:Call kernel32.FindFirstFileA(00409c40 "c:\\NUL",0042c4e8) ret=00405ccd
0016:Ret  kernel32.FindFirstFileA() retval=ffffffff ret=00405ccd

Test app attached.
