Well, recompiling (making sure that it has those latest wintab commits) I now
get a mix of both messages:

fixme:wintab32:X11DRV_WTInfoW Return proper size
*** stack smashing detected ***: oC45Pe.exe terminated

So now it's WTInfoW (instead of WTInfoA) doing a Return Proper size, and not
will a nil stub. Is this different or am I still compiling it wrong? 

yes, that's the OpenCanvas program.
