Now, with 1.3.17 it doesn't work with OpenGL anymore. NVidia drivers are the same used with 1.3.15. Try to reinstall the OpenGL drivers, probably they are broken by kernel or some other update.
I did "sudo apt-get install --reinstall nvidia-current" and I must say that you were right. Probably Natty updates just jeopardized the OpenGL drivers. I'm changing it to resolved/invalid also.
