See attachments for a picture after the graphic-crash (hope this will work). Everything works fine and looks great before the portal opens, then everything glitches. The game is still running after that (i can hear foodsteps or load a savegame), but playing is impossible. What graphics card? By ati-driver, do you mean the open source driver or fglrx?
Thanks for your response. Sorry if i have been unclear: With ati-driver i've meant the official 'fglrx' driver. Graphics card is "FireGL Mobility T2". Kubuntu 8.04 KDE4 Remix, Portal ran in DX8 mode. ATI FGLRX drivers version 2.1.7412. (Ubuntu 8.04, Linux 2.6.24-21-generic, X700 Pro Mobility).
