Error message by launching TF2 under a terminal

If you run Team Fortress 2 with the applaunch value in a terminal you get an
error message :
"no permission to run 'tf'" and the game crash.
It is the same thing for Half-Life Episode 2 and maybe some other games.
If you launch the game under Steam or if Steam was already open,the bug don't
appear.
It may be related with recent Steam updates.

Same happens on windows if Steam can't communicate with steam servers for
whatever reason. So it's a steam bug not Wine's.
