[Bug 13266] New: ArchiCad 11 installer: Crashes after extraction ( Java related?)
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13266 Summary: ArchiCad 11 installer: Crashes after extraction (Java related?) Product: Wine Version: 1.0-rc1 Platform: PC URL: http://archicad.com/ OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: kopseng(a)stud.ntnu.no Created an attachment (id=13111) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=13111) Output from running AC11-NOR.exe, and Setup.exe manually after extraction Trying to run the installer for ArchiCad 11, it fails after extraction. Going into the directory c:\windows\temp\ArchiCad 11, where the files were extracted, and starting up Setup.exe, if fails within a second with a page fault. Before Setup crashes, a "Installing Java Runtime" briefly flashes on screen. I can't read the output, but it might be Java related, seeing that the Java Runtime that comes with the demo also crashes (but that might be a whole other bug report). ArchiCad is java based, so the JRE install is vital. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

The installation completes, but then, when launching the program, Archicad don't start and the Graphisoft Bug Reporter windows appear. In attachment the log of wine from console. Anyway.. this is big step forward, I never get Archicad installed! -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

If i remember correctly i got it running by doing: WINEDEBUG=+relay wine Archicad.exe &>/dev/null
seemed to be some race condition, could you try that?
Same thing.. except no messages in console. I have noticed a little difference: in my attempt, the mouse cursor is hide when I moved it on the bug reporter window.. now the cursor is visible (but the bug reporter windows don't react, anyway).. but I don't think this is very important. Just get the bug reporter dialog, which crashes with a "network error" when sending the report. Setting Windows 2000 was necessary for it to install, but no Windows version was able to get past the bug dialog. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
