[Bug 52782] New: Anno 1800 cannot connect to multiplayer
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52782 Bug ID: 52782 Summary: Anno 1800 cannot connect to multiplayer Product: Wine Version: 7.5 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: winehq(a)greaka.de Distribution: --- This is an incredibly frustrating bug that exists since an unknown specific version of the game. The multiplayer doesn't work. Upon trying to enter a lobby, you will face an error window titled "LR05". This bug exists since a few years by now and there is no known workaround. Sadly, I do not know how to debug this or how to produce any logs for this as you need to run Ubisoft connect as a launcher and all I get is logs from there. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. But I can confirm that starting with Proton 7.X multiplayer also throws the LR05 error. Maybe a regression ? I did not test with pure wine. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52782 --- Comment #3 from Greaka <winehq(a)greaka.de> --- Thank you for this workaround! I set Ubisoft Connect in Lutris to use proton 6.3 and can confirm that it works. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52782 --- Comment #5 from Greaka <winehq(a)greaka.de> --- I'm sorry. I wasn't clear enough. This game requires a launcher. All console output that gets produced comes the launcher. I don't see anything related to the game at all and I don't know how to redirect those logs. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52782 --- Comment #6 from Jason <holzminister(a)t-online.de> --- I saw this on the valve issue tracker: I guess it is connected to this problem. Handle ALG_ID_ECDH_P384 in BCryptGenerateKeyPair to make Anno 1800 Multiplayer work https://github.com/ValveSoftware/wine/issues/172 -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52782 --- Comment #7 from Hans Leidekker <hans(a)meelstraat.net> --- ALG_ID_ECDH_P384 is supported in current Wine. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
