The second time I run it then however, it works without any problems. I have this even after starting over with a fresh .wine and on both Ubuntu Dapper & Hardy with all recent Wine versions as far as I can remember. I suspect it is related to my hardware in some way. The problem still occurs. It only occurs with Ubuntu Dapper. With Ubuntu Hardy on the same system, everything works well. The Dapper installation works fine for everything else though, so I do think this is something weird in Wine. The only reason I still have this Dapper installation is to verify this bug. So it's not really important for me personally anymor. If anyone thinks it could be useful to debug this further anyhow, I'll just keep to Dapper install so it can still be reproduced. Dapper being long-since unsupported, no, especially if it's an ubuntu bug.
