hi , game from the download site runs just fine here. This must be a problem
with your drivers i think (i guess :)).  You said first you used Mesa6.4
with dri on an ATI9250 graphics card , and than just plain ati-driver. So what
do you use now? I use fglrx-driver, game works fine.
