Instruments window automatically stay on the top (itsn't possible to change this) and opens in the center of the screen hiding (in part) the opened image below! It can be worked around by deselecting "Allow the window manager to control the windows"
Nice solution! Please retest in wine-1.3.31 or later.
The bug is fixed, but you can't access to instruments if you enlarge the image window (The instruments window doesn't stay on the top).
