As of or before 0.9.2:

PuTTY only displays fixed-width fonts,  so the underlying fuctionality must be
there.

Wine's Notepad allows one to chose proportional fonts,  but that's Notepad's
fault:  it should set lpLogFont->lfPitchAndFamily = FIXED_PITCH ,  but doesn't
do so.

NoteTab Pro installs fine,  but it exits immediately with no output or errors
when I try to run it.
