Run dosbox and hit alt+enter to go into fullscreen. What you end up getting is a black window (no dos prompt) that, at least in GNOME, you can't easily get focus on. Aaron, on Linux you can run the Linux version of the DOSBox. Reopening as this is not about DOS but running dosbox.exe under Wine.
Aaron, on Linux you can run the Linux version of the DOSBox. Wine will run the native dosbox binary and not the Windows dosbox.exe.

Guess I only thought about maybe re-testing at some point instead. :) I'm currently on wine-staging 4.9. Fullscreen is still broken, though I *can* alt-tab into the "fullscreen" window that is actually just a borderless window that takes up a small portion of the top-left corner of the screen.
