It won't run without Steam... When was this 'update 32' released? I have Portal 2 on Steam, it was last updated somewhere in December 2014. The game starts properly when launching from Steam (it indeed crashes if I start directly with portal2.exe) To get a backtrace you need to start the game with '-nominidumps -nobreakpad -noassert -nocrashdialog' command line options. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. I have applied a non-steam patch since it is easier than installing steam in wine, and it is tested working fine on Windows. I was able to get a backtrace using the command line options you provided. Thanks. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Pirated software is not supported here. Please take the effort to install steam and portal 2 in a clean wineprefix and if the problem is present open a new bug report.
